Breakfast at Thomson’s :-)

I’ve never been a fan of oatmeal. Sticky, slightly slimy – the texture wasn’t right for me. But the part that got to me the most was the taste. No matter what I added to it, it made me gag after three spoonfuls. It’s a pity because I know oatmeal is ridiculously good for you so I tried every now and then to strike up the friendship but it just wouldn’t work. Until today.

Now, I’ve always been able to eat oatmeal in cookie form which led me to thinking if I could try and add some of the flours from the cookies to the bowl of porridge instead.  And what motivated me even more was these links that talk about overnight oats in beautiful looking mason jars just waiting to be devoured!

I don’t like fruit with my oats, nuts are fine but no fruit and no raisins! so  obviously the ones that got me were the ones with chocolate and thats the one I tried – and the result? DELICIOUS~

All I used was some almond milk, cocoa, salt, oats and a wee bit of sugar!!! nom nom!!
